Play More Guide Cover Art Contest!
Celebrating Durham Parks & Recreation 100 Years of Providing Opportunities to "Play More"
Durham Parks and Recreation is celebrating 100 years in 2024 and we need your help to commemorate it! We invite all youth photographers, graphic designers, cartoonists, and/or painters, ages 5-18 years old, to share their best original artwork inspired by DPR's Centennial for a chance to make history and have their art featured on the cover of Play More Guide in 2024. Three (3) winners will be selected based on creativity and representation of the 5 themes of DPR's Centennial Celebration:

Health & Wellness
Nature & Outdoors
Social Equity
Eligibility
Applicants must reside in Durham, NC, or attend a Durham school. Participants must be at least 5 years old and comply with these Official Rules.
Consider drawing, painting, or snapping a really cool shot at any one of our parks, recreation facilities, pools, lakes, and/or programs. The winning images (3) will be featured on the covers of our 2024 Play More Guides. Applicants must submit their artwork by March 1, 2024, to Kyesha.Jennings@durhamnc.gov, Subject: Cover Art Contest. Artwork dimensions should be 9.25" (horizontal) x 6.25" (vertical) or proportional.

Kimani Lee Pratt, at the age of 9, is a remarkable young talent with a passion for science, art, and history. Beyond excelling in academics, Kimani enjoys tennis, piano, chorus, and theater.
