Let's Play Ball: Register for our Summer Fastpitch Softball Fielding Clinics
Looking for a fun and educational activity for your daughter this summer? Look no further than Durham Parks and Recreation's (DPR) upcoming softball fielding clinics! Whether she's a beginner or has some experience, these clinics are perfect for girls aged 7 to 14 who want to learn the fundamentals of throwing and fielding a softball.
Our first clinic, tailored for girls aged 7 to 9, will take place on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Southern Boundaries Park on Ball Field 1. The following clinic, designed for girls aged 10 to 14, will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, also from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the same location.
Led by DPR staff with extensive fastpitch experience and supported by passionate volunteers, these two-hour clinics will cover the basics of throwing and fielding in a supportive and engaging environment. No previous softball experience is necessary to attend—just come with a willingness to learn and have fun! If you have a glove, be sure to bring it, as supplies are limited.
Check-in for each clinic begins at 8:30 A.M., so be sure to arrive early to get settled in and ready to play. Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
Don't miss out on this opportunity for your daughter to gain confidence and skills on the softball field while making new friends and enjoying the summer weather.
Head over to ActiveNet to register today to secure your spot—spaces are limited, so sign up early! Email Tosha Beck at tosha.beck@durhamnc.gov or Jennifer Beaman at jennifer.beaman@durhamnc.gov for more questions.
